From the spiritual light of Sayyeda Zainab (AS) and with her blessed intercession, The Sayyeda Zainab Foundation (SZF) is honored to present a grand initiative:

The Shah Naqshaband Seminary of Illumination

This sacred project now opens its gates for the Ummah to contribute and participate in reviving a spiritual and educational tradition rooted in centuries of divine service.

Who Was Shah Naqshaband (QS)?

Khwaja Baha'ud-Din Naqshband al-Bukhari (1318–1389 CE) was a towering spiritual master of Central Asia and the reviver of the Naqshbandi Sufi Order, one of the most influential spiritual lineages in Islamic history.

Lineage: He was a descendant of Imam Hasan ibn Ali (AS) through his maternal line, and was spiritually connected to the Prophet Muhammad ﷺ through the silsilah (spiritual chain) of teachers that included Khwaja Yusuf al-Hamadani and Abdul Khaliq al-Ghujdawani.

Shah Naqshaband emphasized silent dhikr, deep humility, constant awareness of Allah (Hudhur), and spiritual service. His legacy continues to influence spiritual seekers around the world.

About the Project

Located at the Maqam (resting place) of Shah Naqshaband (QS) in Bukhara, Uzbekistan, this project represents a revival of his sacred tradition in both spirit and form.

Project Overview:

• Title: Shah Naqshaband Seminary of Illumination

• Ground Manager: Hajji Abdugafur Razzok Bukhari – Imam of the mosque and a highly respected Avliya, known for his integrity and spiritual presence.

• Trust & Donations: S.Z.F has entrusted a khadim a local philanthrpist who is trustworthy and authorized to receive international contributions for this project.

• Construction Timeline: Began in September 2024; the exterior is complete. Current need: interior development and educational infrastructure.

• Function: A Seminary to study the Holy Qur’an, with both online and offline learning programs.

• Facilities: Dedicated small rooms for children, group sessions, and private study circles.

• Curriculum: Primarily focused on Qur’an, with additional subjects related to moral and spiritual development.

• Inclusivity: Open to both boys and girls (clarity on family/women’s access to be confirmed).
